Leadership and Management

No-Nation’s extensive music and arts management experience spans both the funded and commercial sectors. Members of the team have held senior leadership roles in major organisations and managed numerous complex arts projects from inception to delivery. We also hold board and trustee positions with several arts organisations.

Experience

Our team has a solid track record of success delivering artistic flare and driving new and large scale audiences to events from attendances of 40,000 people in the heyday of The Big Chill festival to developing educational programmes for 1000s.

During the last 8 years members of the No-Nation team have held leadership positions at Arts Council England, The Big Chill, Brighton Dome and Festival and Sound and Music. We have led the delivery of successful international festivals, national funding schemes and artistic programmes, and have built motivated teams which deliver.

We have worked with a wide variety of teams to manage change including working with boards of directors and trustees and our experience encompasses organisational and artistic vision, business and operational planning, fundraising, team management and restructuring.

No-Nation is drawn to challenging assignments, from project development in countries as far afield as Nigeria, the USA, Australia and India to working with complex organisational issues and logistics; projects such as the collaboration for BTs River of Music as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad with King Sunny Ade, to multifaceted technical productions with artists such as AV pioneer Chris Cunningham which require fund raising, negotiation, management and promotion.
